   Wind Mill Cafe -- about 9 miles near Mt. Storm Lake -- great service and food at this new small diner that was once a scuba / dive shop.
   Directions -- proceed 3 miles west. on Rt. 50 -- turn left onto Rt. 42 -- about 4 miles, turn right on Rt. 93 at Liberty Gas -- ahead about 2.5 miles on left.


Snow's Mt. Top Service Center -- 304-693-7885 -- about 3 miles west on Rt. 50 in Mt. Storm. Gas / Groceries / subs / pizza. Very tasty Hunt Brothers Pizzas with a large, all toppings, at just $9.00.

Stained Glass Restaurant -- about 8 miles near Mt. Storm Lake -- quaint small diner with salad bar and good country cooking.
Directions -- proceed 3 miles west. on Rt. 50 -- turn left onto Rt. 42 -- about 4 miles, turn right on Rt. 93 at Liberty Gas -- ahead about 2 miles on right.

Snow's Mt. Top Service Center -- full service auto shop that also includes ice creams, limited groceries, gas, kerosine, and Hunt Brothers Pizza.

Getz's Mart -- includes gas / kerosine and more extensive groceries and limited hardward supplies.
in Mt. Storm -- about 2.5 miles west on Rt. 50

Liberty Gas -- includes gas / ATM machine / kerosine / lots of groceries and some fast foods including deli sandwiches and pizza.
Directions -- Near Mt. Storm Lake -- proceed 3 miles west. on Rt. 50 -- turn left onto Rt. 42 -- about 4 miles at intersection with Rt. 93.

G & T Sports Plus (304-693-7854) -- Hunting and Fishing supplies and information, muzzle loading supplies, clothing, indoor archery lanes, archery rental equipment, camping supplies. Possible future scuba diving supplies and rentals for Mt. Storm Lake.
Located in Mt. Storm -- about 3 miles west on Rt. 50 -- turn right at well marked sign.

   Laundry at the Abram's Creek Lodge House: $3.00 wash / dry, includes eco-friendly detergent.




5. Motels:
   
   Cottage Inn Motel in Mt. Storm (304-693-7614) -- about 3 miles west on Rt. 50 -- double occupancy $35/night.
   
   Note: Avoid the Mountaineer Motel in Mt. Storm as they charge wildly high prices at times and have many dirty rooms for supposedly economy rates.
   
   
   
6. Town of Keyser, WV:

Super Walmart / Hospital / ATM / Restaurants / CVS / Tractor Supply Company / 84 Lumber / Denny's / Stray Cat Wing Shack / Castiglia's Italian Restaurant / El Jinente Mexican Restaurant / Polish Pines Restaurant:

Directions: proceed on Rt. 50 east to Rt. 220 / 972 north (about 2.5 miles up 220 / 972); about 15 miles total.
Hospital is located about 3 miles north of Walmart on Rt. 220 on the right hand side.



7. Town of Oakland, MD (tourist friendly):

Located just south of Deep Creek Lake Resort area: Super Walmart / Hospital / ATM / Restaurants / 84 Lumber / Southern States / CVS / Denny's / Furniture stores / Tourist stores:

Directions: proceed on Rt. 50 west to Rt. 219 North (about 13 miles). Proceed on Rt. 219 North into Oakland (parallels Rt. 135 for a couple of miles) -- Walmart on RHS near end of Oakland; about 23 miles total. Note: 9 more miles north on Rt. 219 puts you in Deep Creek Lake area with tons of resorts and higher end restaurants & lodging.

McHenry (Deep Creek) Urgent Care in Deep Creek Lake area (open 24/7) -- for non-emergency room care during off hours -- proceed along Rt. 219 about 10 miles past the end of Oakland -- in the town of McHenry, MD along Deep Creek Lake



8. Town of Petersburg, WV:

Located along scenic Rt. 55 along the S. Branch of the Potomac River: Hospital / ATM / Restaurants / Stray Cat Cafe / CVS

Directions: proceed on Rt. 50 west to Mt. Storm (3 miles) -- turn left onto Rt. 42 South -- proceed all the way to Petersburg -- about 25 miles. Rt. 42 terminates at Rt. 55 which leads to Seneca Rocks (west), Welton Park (east), both on the S. Branch of the Potomac River and lots of other scenic places along beautiful Rt. 55.
Hospital is located on Rt. 55 just west of town.
